I LOVE the Maybelline Color Sensational Lipsticks!!!

Ok, breathe.... I love them. L-O-V-E. I've got 15. I know, crazy. What makes me so excited is that I've got a color wardrobe from a D/S line, which, being frugal and broke, is all I buy. I've NEVER had such fun looking, trying on, owning, and USING lipsticks as I have since these launched last year, and I've always loved lip products. Not kidding, I own over 24 reds alone. Then when the this line debuted and I read about it somewhere, I immediately went to peek at the display, and at my local Kmart, they had 24 colors out. I peeked, and instantaneously fell for at least 7 of them. Over the last year, I've had some misses, like several of the initial ones that smelled off and dragged like an art gum eraser over my lips, and many, many hits. My go-to red for about 3 months running was Red Revival, which says a lot, given that I own so many reds. Purples were my next section to stock up on, and then neutrals. Within the past month, I've finally found two pinks I'm happy with: Bit of Berry and Let me Pink, i believe it's called. I'll swatch tomorrow, but suffice to say, pinks have been the strangest to connect with. Probably because I've so much pink in my undertones. For the record, I've never truly been color-matched by a MAC artist, but based on other bloggers' descriptions, I believe I'm probably a NW 20.

So I think I've finally reached the end of my c/s wishlist, and the lipsticks that are currently in rotation include tinted taupe, my mahogany, and a pink w-n-w matte megalast l/s. I'm relieved to have reached my *fingers crossed* limit on these, so my wallet can rest, and I can, like Uncle Scrooge McQuack on "DuckTales", swim in my storehouse of pretty lipsticks. LOL. =)

So, what m/u line have you been loving, and what is the defining cut-off point for you? Is it when an alarm goes off b/c you've drained the Federal Treasury, or is it based on contenment and satisfaction? Drop me a line via the comment box, and let me know.

Got Greed? Buyer's Remorse

So I knew from the beginning it was a bad idea...buying makeup when really, truth be told, I had no available money. Of course, I did it anyway, then freaked when I realized that in one night, I'd managed to spend $50 when only $37 existed..."How?" you ask. Silly, remember nowadays, we can spend imaginary money even with no cash in our wallet.

Gulp.

Yeah, on the card. That wicked invention. So tempting to pretend that the money exists, until the consequences kick in. Now I've got to do returns...of lipsticks I **really** love. Le sigh. Hopefully I'll learn my lesson, and save up, and later enjoy guilt-free lipsticking...haha. Until then, I'll be maturing and re-learning patience, and the virtue of saving for a purchase, and delayed gratification.

Ok, I'll be an adult, however begrudgingly.

Who gets exactly what I'm saying? Chime in, I know I'm not the only one.
